New Furntiure♥

Hello Dolls!

So I have finally purchased furniture for my living room. The only things I had were my chocolate couches and a very old, very small TV stand that did not match, lol. I have always wanted white couches, BUT with a six year old who likes to jump on my couches with her shoes on, uh, dark was the way to go for this mama!

I have been searching for the right things to buy and fianlly I purchased a coffee table & TV stand, both are in black/brown by LACK at IKEA. I went cray cray at IKEA. I also purchased a few things for my kids bedroom.

If you are not familiar with Ikea, shame on you! jejeje jk. Most if not all there furniture comes in a bag and you have the awesome task of assembling it yourself or having them, deliver and set-it-up for a hefty price. Well that was not an option for me, i packed it all up in my Focus and drove all the way home.

As my gorgeous friend Cindy, a professional interior designer has pointed out to my Ikea is not the best quality, it will last you about two years maybe three if youtake care of it. But I am starting out and this works for me for my budget right now.

This was the almost final look, I still need to get a few knick-knacks and curtains. I have not decided on a color yet. I would love some input guys.

This little baby help me set up my furniture, as well as the help of my baby brother (23) but the baby of the family, lol. I purchased this mini power drill at Target for around 20 bucks, not bad.

Black & Decker, pimk power drill $20.00 (TARGET)

Right side of TV stand

Frame set is from  $40.00 (TARGET)

My couches are from The RoomPlace

Hope you enjoyed

  1. well you know what I will say!!! Shame on you for buying at Ikea :) there are so many places that offer better furniture than Ikea, for example White Elephant, Rebuilding Exchange, Threads Inc., all these place sell beautiful furniture. Your better off with Crate and Barrel than Ikea because that furniture only last 2years because it is cheap foam.
