Dry (Drier) skin season has arrived.

Hello Loves,

It's that time of year again, where if you're anything like me, dry skin gets worse.

These are two important creams I love.

The first one is Neutrogena HydroBoost gel. I absolutely love this. It's a water based gel and leaves my skin feeling so soft.

The second cream I use is by L'Oreal Paris, YouthCode. This is a dark spot corrector and sunscreen with SPF 30. I absolutely love both of them together. Now just because it's winter does not mean you should you stop using sunscreen. Its something that you need to use daily. I don't want any wrinkles or skin cancer. I cannot stress the importance SUNSCREEN.

These two will never leave my vanity. The Nuetrogena is a little on the pricey side for a drugstore cream. I found it for $20.00 at CVS, I know the price varies by a few dollars depending where you find it. The L'Oreal cream I believe ran me $14 dollars.

What helps you with your dry skin?

Hello December 2015

Hello Loves,

Can you believe it is December? I sure can't. Although, I'm glad it is. Christmas is one of my favorite holidays.  I sure could do without the cold and snow, but then would it really be Christmas without those two, there.

Any who, November was completely amazing for me. Not only did my partner and I make eight years together, but we tied the knot. It was a very simple ceremony at city hall and we just had our parents and my two daughters their. Afterward we went out to lunch and were joined by a few family members. I really can't remember much else about November, haha. Thats was the most exciting part.

For December we look forward to doing our christmas shopping and  tons of hot chocolate and decorating for Christmas.

What are you looking forward to this month? Are you asking Santa for something special?

New Louis Vuitton Dividers

Hello Loves,

Today I wanted to share with you  some new planner/agenda dividers I received from my beautiful Mommy. Just in time for Halloween.

Take a look inside my Spell Book, buahahahahahaha!!!

My Mom bought them off a lovely lady through or on rather a Facebook fan page we both belong to for Louis Vuitton Agenda Addicts. So sorry I don't know how much they are. I actually didn't see them and I'm not sure if she still has them available for sale. If I find them I will post a link ;)

Each divider has a Spell from the movie Hocus Pocus, one of my favorite movies ever!!! Tehehehe.
There are five spells, perfect for every wicked witch. Each divider has a gold glittery witches hat as the tab. Very cute. I am so obsessed with these dividers and I think I will rock them year round, haha.

How are you decorating your agendas for Halloween?

National Handbag Day

Hello Dolls,

Today is National Handbag Day! It started out for me not knowing which bag to use.

I couldn't decide between my two Louis Vuitton hand bags. They are both in the monogram print. I have the speedy 30 and the Alma, I believe it's the PM size.

I ended up choosing the speedy. I was wearing jeans a burgundy top, very simple and casual. I thought the bag was the perfect choice. I didn't take an outfit selfie today, was running around I forgot to. Simple but always stylish, tehehe.

My birthday was this past Wednesday and my Mother bought me this lovely bag charm. It's made from authentic Louis Vuitton leather, in the monogram print.  I don't know where she got it from, but she's the perfect addition to my handbag.

Which hand bag are you rocking today?

Hello Fall

Hello Loves,

I am so excited that fall has returned. It is my favorite season. Mostly because October is my birthday month, tehehe. Seriously though, fall is the best. I'm a huge sweater girl. I have cardigans in about every color. I just love them. I love all sweaters. The bulkier the sweater the better.

Fall is the best time for cuddling in bed with a cup of tea or hot chocolate and a really good book or movie.
I'm looking forward to the changing of the leaves and seeing my girls playing with them in our backyard along with our dog.
Excited for Halloween abd decorating my house. Also looking forward to El Día de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead, it's something we celebrate in my culture.

I look forward to making soups. As a proud Mexican I'm always making caldo de pollo or caldo de res, translation, chicken or beef soup, but to be honest I make that year round, haha, but I make it more often in the fall & winter.

I'm excited a local bakery is bringing back their hand made, made from scratch pumpkin pies. Ooh I can already taste them. I know I'm going to be ostracized here but I think I'm the only women who does not get the appeal of Pumpkin spiced lattes or pumpkin anything but pie. Sorry, I've tried different coffee shops and I just don't like it. Maybe because I'm not a big coffee drinker, I don't know. God bless y'all that do love them.

What I don't like about fall is how dark it gets so early in the afternoon. It makes me so sleepy and sluggish. So I crawl in bad with a hot chocolate and my girls. We get in our pjs and watch movies. After homework is done, of course! Haha.

Are you excited for fall?
What are you looking forward to the most, or what are you dreading this fall?

August In Instagram

Hello Dolls,

August has come and gone. We had a good run though. Take a sneak peek at what I did this past month.

1. My first Cubs game with my better half. It was really exciting. The first few I need were hard on me because we were in the bleachers and the sun was straight on our faces, and of course I left my sunnies at home, genius I know! Haha. We left in the 7th inning, it was already 10pm and we both had to work the next day. But his team won... Go Cubs!!!

2. Later that week we went to another baseball game. The cross town classic of the Chiczgo White Sox vs. the Chicago Cubs. My team lost that night :( bug we had a blast, it was my first tail gate and first Sox/Cubs game.

3. Meet my baby Delta. We adopted her 8.15.15, we went to that mass Clear The Shelters event. It was pretty awesome to see so many pets get adopted. It was love at first sight with my baby girl. Delta is an American Staffordshire Terrier an AmStaff for short, we were told she is three but she is actually 1. She's a pup who loves to play and run. My girls are in love with her. We all are.

4. I'm restarting my Shredz supplements. I started and stopped. I've had some pros and cons with it. I'll keep you all posted this month in my progress.

5. Makeup. What else can I say about it. It's my love.

6. We went to our good friends Ramon & Silvia's wedding on Saturday. I had a good time. So much in fact, I forgot to take pictures, haha, oops. Thankfully they had a photographer there to capture great moments. Her dress was so stunning and fit her so well. She looked beautiful, they both looked so happy. I wish our friends a life time of happiness.

There's a bit more happening over on my Instagram. Be sure to stay up to date with me on there. Follow me @missgeeklychic.

I'm almost at 500 followers, so excited. Sorry, I'm a big nerd!!

Sephora Haul

Hello Dolls,

Firstly, please allow me to apologize for all the shadows in my pictures. The lighting in my room is horrible.

I've been trying to blog this haul for weeks now but mommy duties kept me away. But I'm so excited for this haul.

First up is Too Faced cosmetics.

I purchased the Love Flush blush in How Deep Is Your Love. Ok let's just start with how freaking cute the packaging is. Heart shaped and slim, meaning compact. I love non-bulky blushes. They fit easier in my makeup bag. The shade is a dark pink. It goes pretty light on my skin. As you know I am medium to dark toned.

My second Too Faced purchase is this beautiful Melted listick

I bought the Melted Fig. I color I have been lusting over for months. I finally bought it. I was hesitant because it looks very light. I didn't believe I'd be able to rock it because I didn't think the color suite my skin tone. Psh, glad I didn't listen and stepped out of my comfort zone. It actually dries pretty dark me on.

From the Sephora brand I purchased two liquid lipsticks that again, I've been lusting over them for months, but they were always sold out!

These two are in the shades 13 -Marvelous Mauve, the light pink  & 14 - Blackberry Sorbet, the darker shade. Stunning. I've purchased these lip stains before and I love them. Like just about all lip stains or liquid lipsticks they can be drying on the lips so I make sure to apply lip balm before and after applying them.

Lastly I purchased the Ambient Palette from HourGlass.

Love, love, love, love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's basically three highlights. I stumbled on HourGlass cosmetics and their blushes are the bomb dot com. They can have all my money. HourGlass never disappoints.

Have you used any of the products?

Yesterday's MakeUp look {7.18.15}

Strobing.... Are you a fan?

Hello Dolls,

Just when you got contouring down, everyone is STROBING!!

If you haven't been sleeping under a rock for the past few weeks you'll know that the latest craze is all about Strobing.

What is Strobing: Strobing focuses exclusively on highlighter. Appling where light would naturally hit your face (so, your cheekbones, brow bones, the center of your forehead, down your nose, and on your chin.) Dabbing on these soft, shimmery shades will make your complexion look radiant, fresh, and healthy while giving you an ethereal oomph that is sure to turn heads.

The highlight I've been loving for Strobing is the Nars Albatross.

It is the perfect highlight for shimmer and gives you a glam look.

I place the highlight down the bridge  of my nose, cuspids bow, above my cheek bones, right below my eyebrow arch and a little bit above the brow arch, lastly I place it on my chin.

Today's Makeup

Hello Dolls,

Happy Sunday!! Today is the first day in a long time that I actually do a full face of makeup. I missed it. Makeup is so powerful and makes me feel powerful and glamorous.

I wish I was one of those girls that gets up every morning to do a full face. Think I'm just too lazy to do it. Let's be real here. Do you do a full face everyday? How long does it take you?

Anywho, here is what I used:

•Becca Ultimate Complexion coverage in Noisette
•Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown
•Mascara from Maybelline & Covergirl (will update with the exact ones tonight, blogging on the go)
• Physicians Formula highlight
•HourGlass cosmetics blush in Incandescent Electra & Mood Exposure
• Kat Von D liquid lipstick in Bauhau5
•Benefit Cosmetics They're Real Push Up eyeliner

Do you recognize any products I used? Any favorites?

What's on my iPad Mini 3 {Gold}

Hi Dolls,

Two years ago I had purchased an iPad (I believe it was the third generation) but my girls took over it and I rarely used it. But I realized I needed something for school and blogging on the go, when I don't take my MacBook Pro with me. Can you tell I'm an apple head.

A few months ago I got the new iPad mini 3 in champagne gold with the Touch ID, and I'm so happy I did. I choose the champagne gold, because my iPhone 6 is in champagne gold, yes I'm neurotic like that, in 64gb. It's in the wifi only edition verses cellular with wifi.

*Side note, I really want the new gold MacBook, because it's in champagne gold. My MacBook Pro is in perfect condition two years old but it's not gold. I told you, I'm neurotic.

I loved my iPad 3, but found it too big & heavy and like I said, it was taken over, by my daughters, tehehe. At the time I purchased of the bigger iPad,  the iPad mini debut a few months later, ugh!

Here is an overview of my iPad mini 3.

All my apps are on one page. The set up is basically the same as on my iPhone 6.

The top three rows are default apps that come on the iPad mini, minus the last two in the third row. The first one is my Bible. Then a  short cut to my church's website. For days that I can't make it to church, I catch the live streaming.

On the dock I have:
Messages, Mail, Safari, Music

Basically all the apps the come with all apple devices. Minus the find friends and find iPhone

iStudiez Pro, Black Board, AudioNote, Mathway, Quilt, Translate, Dictionary, Google Docs, DropBox, SignEasy, Calculator, Wikipedia, and medical review apps for exams I have to take. I'm a pre-nursing student and it's never too early to review.

Figure1; basically instgram for trauma junkies, no weak stomaches allowed, you've been warned ;-), all nurses, Anatomy, Microbiology, A&P, iTriage, Prognosis, Medical Dictionary, Mighty Nurses website short cut, more anatomy apps, and a few chemistry & biology apps.

Netflix, Hulu, HBO GO, Amazon video, FX Now, Xfinity remote, Audible, pandora, Spotify.

My Bank, My Verizon, Sephora, Etsy, Yelp, ebay, Amazon, HauteLook, ShopHers

Don't think these need any introduction.

Same goes for these apps.

Beautylish, Blogger, Polyvore, Bloglovin', Google+, Fullscreen; my network that I partner with for my YouTube channel, IMDB, Buzzfeed

My favorite games on my iPad are The Simpsons Tapped Out, Blitz, Flow Free.
Kim Kardashians Hollywood game was fun but gets on my nerves!!!!!! It gives you way too many tasks to do. I got overwhelmed and stopped playing.

Hope you enjoyed this post. Do you have a tablet? If so, which app(s) are you loving?
